I have been a part of Immanuel Lutheran School since 2000. I began my career teaching preschool two afternoons a week. I have taught kindergarten, second, fourth, fifth and sixth grade as well and then in 2006 became the principal. I’m excited to be a part of our ministry at Immanuel and look forward to the challenges and successes we continue to face.
I have a BA in Elementary Education from Boise State University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho. Since I graduated from Boise State I’m a huge Bronco Fan! I taught in public for six years. My time was spent in the Jerome and Twin Falls School District. I enjoy teaching and seeing the faces of students when they comprehend a concept. I continue to work with advanced math students here at Immanuel.
My husband and I were married at Immanuel Lutheran by Pastor Vedder and had our membership transferred here from Boise. I organized several auctions, Vacation Bible Schools and have taught Sunday School for years. I enjoy being involved in our church and the relationships I have developed over the years.
We have three children; our daughter Mallory is married to a wonderful man from Washington. They have three children. Our daughter Kelley teaches preschool at Calvary Chapel in Boise. She is also attending school to become a counselor. Our son Josh attends Boise State. Our family is big into football and baseball. We also enjoy camping and playing outdoors. We spend a lot of time in Boise with the grandchildren.
Being able to see your children grow not only academically but spiritually has been very rewarding over the years. I know the students who attend Immanuel have a great love for their Lord and Savior. There is no better place then Immanuel to begin your child’s educational journey.
