I am so happy to be in my second year of teaching music here at Immanuel Lutheran School. Music has always been an important part of my life. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share the gift of music with your children.

In addition to teaching general music, I also coordinate music for Chapel each week and lead the Praise Team. Comprised of third, fourth, and fifth graders, this group leads worship during our morning Chapel. It is truly an honor for me to help them grow in their relationship with God as they learn how to worship Him in song. I also organize and prepare students for our annual Christmas and Easter programs.

I was born and raised in the Magic Valley and I have lived here for most of my adult life. I am a graduate of Idaho State University. My husband David is also an elementary music teacher in Twin Falls. We have been married for 27 years and have two grown daughters. Our oldest daughter graduated from ISU last spring and is in her first year of teaching in Twin Falls. Our youngest daughter is a junior at ISU majoring in secondary education. Teaching really is our family business.

I absolutely love music and I am excited to be a part of helping our students learn and grow!

My name is Mrs. Deb Hegman.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with Immanuel Lutheran School and all these great children.  I come from a background of Early Childhood and Reading Recovery. 

I started as a 1st Grade Teacher in Pocatello and then I worked at the Southern Idaho Learning Center here in Twin Falls, helping kids with after-school reading assistance. This is my third year as the reading specialist and I have completely loved working with the great kids that attend Immanuel. 

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help every child at Immanuel start an education career that involves much success.
