teacherMy name is Kari Fischer.  This is my fourth year teaching at Immanuel Lutheran School.  It is my third year teaching 2nd grade and I am so excited for a new year with this great group of students.  I will also be teaching 5th grade Spanish.

I am originally from North Dakota.  I went to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN where I got my B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish.  I then went on to St. Cloud State University to get my masters in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language).  While there, I also got to spend two years teaching incoming college students from around the world in the Intensive English Center.  I then moved to Montana, got married, had two amazing boys, and taught in a multitude of classrooms.  We spent a few years on the Highline, where I taught in small, rural schools (some public, some private) in multigrade classrooms.  Then, I spent 5 years at First Lutheran School in Helena, MT where I taught grades from preschool to 4th, Spanish, Music, and Library.

I am now at ILS and excited for a brand new year with this great bunch of second graders!
