The third through fifth-grade students were given the opportunity to attend Gemstone Climbing. They went 5 times in the month of January.
The students began with small boulders and worked their way up to auto-belay climbing. There are many benefits of climbing. Students increase strength, endurance, and flexibility. Rock climbing builds confidence and self-esteem. Problem-solving, planning, and decision making are part of the learning experience. The students really enjoyed themselves and we will be incorporating it into our PE program. Check out the pictures!
