Michelle Jund - Immanuel Lutheran School Principal

michelle

I have been a part of Immanuel Lutheran School since 2000.  I began my career teaching preschool two afternoons a week.  I have taught kindergarten, second, fourth, fifth and sixth grade as well and then in 2006 became the principal.  I’m excited to be a part of our ministry at Immanuel and look forward to the challenges and successes we continue to face.

I have a BA in Elementary Education from Boise State University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho.  Since I graduated from Boise State I’m a huge Bronco Fan!  I taught in public for six years. My time was spent in the Jerome and Twin Falls School District.  I enjoy teaching and seeing the faces of students when they comprehend a concept or have an idea.

My husband and I were married at Immanuel Lutheran and have been members for many years.   I have been involved with various activities at the church, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and served on boards. I enjoy being involved in our church and the relationships I have developed over the years.

We have three children; Mallory, Kelley, and Josh, who are married and have wonderful spouses who love the Lord.  We have  5 grandchildren who keep us busy. We spend a lot of time in Boise with the grandchildren. We also enjoy golfing, hiking, and kayaking.

Being able to see your children grow not only academically but spiritually has been very rewarding over the years.  I know the students who attend Immanuel have a great love for their Lord and Savior.  There is no better place then Immanuel to begin your child’s educational journey.

 Ms. Schmidt - First Grade

vickieI'm very excited to be a part of the ILS family as one of the First Grade teachers for the 2022 -2023 school year.

I am originally from Buhl. I attended school at Clover Trinity Lutheran School and then moved to Buhl High School where I graduated from. I attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where I received my BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I took my first call to teach at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Child Development Center in Mountain View, California were I taught both preschool and kindergarten. I later took a call to serve at Littlest Angels Preschool and Bethany Lutheran Church in Menlo Park, California where I taught pre-kindergarten as well as served in many other ministries within the church. I returned to the Magic Valley in 2015 to be closer to my family.

When I'm not teaching I enjoy being involved in various other activities. I enjoy riding my bike, reading, hanging out with family, friends, my cat Joiya and my dog Ordei, gardening, and sleeping. I am blessed to have 2 nephews here in the valley and I have a great time hanging out with them.

I am looking forward to my eighth year here at Immanuel Lutheran School in first grade. I pray that we all will have a great year growing and learning together.

Ms. Dobbs - First Grade

annmarieI am so excited to be teaching first grade at Immanuel Lutheran. This will be my 34th year in the teaching profession and I absolutely love what I do. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana Western. Before landing at Immanuel Lutheran, I spent 33 years shaping young minds in the Twin Falls School District. First graders are my favorite! Witnessing their lightbulb moments and seeing them grow academically and personally is incredibly rewarding. I love the fact that first graders are unapologetically themselves, so I know my days will always include lots of laughter. Joining this school fills me with enthusiasm, and I’m eagerly looking forward to a wonderful school year ahead.

Mrs. Gullidge - Second Grade

gullidgeI grew up in Seattle, Washington and received my B.A. from Concordia University, Portland, OR in Elementary and Early Childhoodgirls Education. I also have an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction which was also received from Concordia University, Portland, OR. I have been a teacher for 10 years. I have been a substitute teacher, a preschool teacher, and am now a first & second grade teacher.

I live in Jerome, Idaho with my husband, Pastor Jason Gullidge, and our daughters, Shaylene, Kelly, Violet, and Frances. I am so thankful to continue this journey here at Immanuel and get to know a lovely group of students.

Mrs. Rhoades - Reading Specialist

family photoHello! My name is Mrs. Rhoades, and this is my 6th year of teaching! In the past, I have taught 3 years of 2nd grade and 2 years of reading intervention. I love all aspects of teaching, but my favorite part is teaching the foundations of reading and helping my students develop the reading skills needed to become successful readers!

I have a beautiful, little family that includes my husband, sweet one year old daughter, Kynnlee, and our two dogs, Maxwell and Trigger. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, hanging out at home, or visiting our family in the Boise area.

 Mrs. Reynolds - Third Grade

aliciaI am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. This year is my 16th year teaching and I have loved every minute of my teaching career.

I grew up in Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Education. In 2007 I moved to Twin Falls and met my husband Adam. We have 3 boys, Andryk, Kasen and Bentley. We love being part of the Immanuel family.

deannaMy name is DeAnna Kelley and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. I am a single mom of two beautiful girls. I grew up in Rupert, Idaho and graduated from Idaho State University. I have been teaching off and on for many years and love it.

I feel truly blessed to be teaching fourth grade at Immanuel. God has called upon us to perform different jobs in life and he has continually called me to teach and for that I will always be grateful.

  Mrs. Carlson - Fifth Grade

emilieI am overjoyed and thankful to be able to teach fifth grade at Immanuel. God has called us into various vocations- He has called me to teach.

I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, a town similar to Twin Falls, with two younger sisters. My husband and I moved to Twin Falls 9 years ago. We have three amazing boys which all attended Immanuel.

This is my eighth year teaching at Immanuel and I love it! ILS has a positive family atmosphere that allows students to grow academically, emotionally and spiritually. It is a blessing to use God's Word as our guide and witness the light of Christ in our students.

I am passionate about education and love witnessing the growth of each child. The school year will be exciting, entertaining and full of learning.
