vickieI'm very excited to be a part of the ILS family as one of the First Grade teachers for the 2022 -2023 school year.

I am originally from Buhl. I attended school at Clover Trinity Lutheran School and then moved to Buhl High School where I graduated from. I attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where I received my BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I took my first call to teach at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Child Development Center in Mountain View, California were I taught both preschool and kindergarten. I later took a call to serve at Littlest Angels Preschool and Bethany Lutheran Church in Menlo Park, California where I taught pre-kindergarten as well as served in many other ministries within the church. I returned to the Magic Valley in 2015 to be closer to my family.

When I'm not teaching I enjoy being involved in various other activities. I enjoy riding my bike, reading, hanging out with family, friends, my cat Joiya and my dog Ordei, gardening, and sleeping. I am blessed to have 2 nephews here in the valley and I have a great time hanging out with them.

I am looking forward to my eighth year here at Immanuel Lutheran School in first grade. I pray that we all will have a great year growing and learning together.

I am so excited to be teaching first grade at Immanuel Lutheran.  This will be my 35th year in the teaching profession and I absolutely love what I do.  I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montana Western.  Before landing at Immanuel Lutheran, I spent 33 years shaping young minds in the Twin Falls School District.  First graders are my favorite!  Witnessing their lightbulb moments and seeing them grow academically and personally is incredibly rewarding.  I love the fact that first graders are unapologetically themselves, so I know my days will always include lots of laughter.  Teaching at Immanuel Lutheran fills me with enthusiasm, and I am eagerly looking forward to a wonderful school year ahead.

cervantesHi!! My name is Alycia Cervantes. The kids always call me Ms. C.

I was born and raised here in Twin Falls County. Before coming to Immanuel, I taught preschool/pre-k for 6 years. During my first year at Immanuel, I taught Kindergarten and loved it! This year I’m so excited to be teaching 2nd grade!!

I have absolutely loved the Immanuel families and how supportive they truly are. I am so excited to have your student in my class and to learn more about them and to see them grow and prosper.

cloeHi! I'm Chloe Meyer. I am extremely blessed to be a part of the ILS family as one of your second-grade teachers.

I was born and raised in my little town of Filer, Idaho where I attended Clover Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Filer High School.

I achieved my bachelor’s in education with an emphasis in Special Education. I am now pursuing my master’s and continuing my education program in hopes of working my way towards administration in the future.

When I am not working with your kiddos, you might find me working as a youth supervisor for Twin Falls Parks and Recreation. I enjoy contributing to the “faith like a child” mindset and working with children of all ages at the ball fields too!

Continuing the path as I grew up in a faith driven school is a dream come true! I can’t wait to continue building little Christ-like minds.

emilieI am overjoyed and thankful to be able to teach fifth grade at Immanuel. God has called us into various vocations- He has called me to teach.

I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, a town similar to Twin Falls, with two younger sisters. My husband and I moved to Twin Falls ten years ago. We have three amazing boys which all attended Immanuel.

This is my ninth year teaching at Immanuel and I love it! ILS has a positive family atmosphere that allows students to grow academically, emotionally and spiritually. It is a blessing to use God's Word as our guide and witness the light of Christ in our students.

I am passionate about education and love witnessing the growth of each child. The school year will be exciting, entertaining and full of learning.
